Corresponding Member of the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences (BAS), Professor Alexander Yankov is a world-renowned jurist, diplomat and scientist in Public International Law.
There is no other Bulgarian legal scholar in modern history, who has contributed so much to the establishment and development of Bulgarian science in International law by his competence, responsible attitude to work and capabilities at a global level. Professor Yankov has made an invaluable contribution not only to diplomacy but also to the education of students and the preparation of academic staff in the field of Public international law at Sofia, Plovdiv, Burgas, Varna, Blagoevgrad University.
